The Chop House Ann Arbor, Michigan Review
Downtown Ann Arbor
The Chop House is such an exquisite place to dine. My husband and I decided to eat here after hearing the raves from his family and friends on just how incredible it was to eat there. So we made reservations for our fourth anniversary together. How exciting it was!
The weekend finally came. We were eager to see what all the fuss was about. “This steakhouse better be good, or my brother is gonna get chopped….” My husband mumbled before we got close to the entrance. My husband doesn’t like to follow the hype, but I know he really wanted to have a nice evening. I smiled ear to ear as we walked in. Almost like walking into something magical. The aromas were intoxicating, the soft sounds, and this beautiful vibe absolutely filled the place.
Our waitress was fashionably dressed and was probably the most happiest waitress we have ever had. Ever. The staff are so helpful and happy. They really uphold the place to new standard of service. Probably the most intriguing thing though were the menus. The menus were on an iPad. Interactive menus! It was so awesome to switch things up a bit and be a tad different. The menu is quite expensive. With the sides all separate and the cheapest entree being at around thirty dollars, we had a good feeling.
The drinks and food was splendid. My husband was in the food industry for a great amount of time so its easy to disappoint him and difficult to blow him away. But this place did a great job at that. The crab cakes appetizers was a bliss. I can’t wait to come back for more. The steak, you can really see and taste the quality in it. I had told my waitress, Darlene, at the beginning of our meal, that it was actually our anniversary. How sweet it was, Darlene, came out with my favorite tiramisu and a beautiful plate with a “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate from the chef.
All in all this a lovely place to spend a pretty penny. Get in return incredible food, amazing service, and an exceptional ambiance. It’s a 10/10 in my book and can’t wait until next year so my husband can “surprise” me again.
